Square Knot

The Square Knot, also known as the Reef Knot, is an ancient and simple binding knot used to secure a rope or line around an object. Historically employed by sailors for reefing and furling sails, according to www.knots3d.com.  This is also the knot used to properly tie the Cadet's uniform neckerchief.

This is one of the 6 knots that Cadets must master for promotion board review.
